Obituary

Rosalyn Arnette Burns was born December 17, 1959, to the late Mr. George and Betty Burns. She was raised by Mr. Webb Hollis (deceased) and Mrs. Ruby Blanche Bess Hollis (deceased). She attended and graduated from Brooks County High School, Class of 1978, and Comcar Truck Driving School in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Amy Hollis Lawson and Cosandra Burns Williams, and brother, Myron Mitchell. She leaves to mourn her only child, Brian Lamar Ponder, Esq., two godsons, Aiden Lee McCoy and Kendall Barrett, her goddaughters, Nicole Lee Barrett and Victoria Ultey, stepmother, Alveria Burns, her sisters, Kay Hollis Wallace, Amelia Hollis Roberson, Karen Hollis Hudson (Alvin), and Chandra Fay Scott (John), her brothers, George Burns (Sheila), Linwood Burns (Octavia), Terry Burns (Jacqueline), Robert Burns, and Raymond Carnegie (Deborah), uncles, Quentin Wayne Burns and Arthur Gamble, Jr., aunts, Ruby Lee Burns Carnegie, Barbara Jean Bess Tabron, Cheryl Vanessa Burns Fairbanks, friends Len and Gigi Ultey of Jacksonville, FL, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
