Michelle Rivers was born in Georgetown, Guyana, on January 7, 1964, to her mother, Jean Holder, and father, Ira Davis. She later moved with her family to the United States, settling in Fernandina Beach, Florida, at the age of twelve. Michelle graduated from Fernandina Beach High School, where she proudly served as a flag girl.
In her early adult years, Michelle met the love of her life, Johnnie Rivers, and together they began a beautiful love story and built a family. She went on to establish a long and dedicated career at Wachovia Bank as a Data Entry Specialist, where she worked until her retirement.
Michelle touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her warmth, laughter, and caring spirit left a lasting impression on all who were blessed to be in her presence.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnnie Rivers; her father: Ira Davis; her mother-in-law: Delois Lamar (Jesse); her sisters-in-laws: Rosa Rivers, Janice Ann Rivers, and Angela Levens; her brother-in-law: Carlos Rivers; and a host of nephews and a nieces.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted daughter: Tiffany Rivers; her loving mother: Jean Holder; brothers: Mark Holder (Cynthia), Ira Davis Jr., and Pete Davis; sister: Patricia Davis-Espinoza (Jose); brothers-in-law: Tito Rivers (Leslie) and Fernandas Rivers; sisters-in-law: Jackqueline Rivers, Adoria Rivers, and Felisha Rivers; goddaughter: Jenerika Ludaway; special niece: Santeria Robison; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends; and a special circle of friends who have shared over twenty years of cherished memories together.
Michelle’s legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
