Lorenzo Christopher Brown

Mr. Lorenzo Christopher (Chris) Brown, passed away on March 21, 2023, at a local hospital surrounded by family and friends.  He was born on December 5, 1960, in Jacksonville, FL to the late Donald Levy, Sr, and Betty J. Brown.

Chris attended local schools in Jacksonville, FL, and graduated from William M. Raines Senior High School.  His early work experience included construction work for Blossom and Sons Construction Company. He later went on to work at Saturn Corporation for over 25 years, in various departments, where he progressed to Auto Parts Manager.  Most recently, he worked as a forklift operator for Home Depot.

Chris was a member of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church for over 20 years where he faithfully served on the Security Ministry. Chris had a fun-loving, energetic personality and enjoyed meeting new people. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan, and was a self-proclaimed BBQ Grill Master.

Chris is survived by his children, Christopher (Brittany) Brown, and Christian Brown; grandchildren, Savion Brown, Cheyenne Brown, Ezekiel Brown, Eric Harris, and Eireal Harris; beloved mother, Betty Brown; brothers and sisters, Vincent Brown, LaFondra Deanna Brown, Sonya (James) Ross, Donald Levy, Jr, and Sidney Levy; aunts, Rev. Geraldine Levy-Young, Corine Levy, and Lorene Levy; nephews, Javon Ross, and Jalen Ross; godparents, Marvin and Edna Lewis; longtime friends, Joe Dorsey, Andrey (Cathy) Tarver, Larry (Jeanette) Johnson, Samuel (Linda) Dallas, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
