Eddie Jones, Jr Obituary

It was a hot and steamy day in Lake City, Florida on July 28,1943 when he made his appearance.
His mother and father, Mercie Vee and Eddie Leon Jones, Sr took one look at him and promptly named him, Eddie Leon Jones, Jr.  He would be affectionately be known as "Junior".  Eddie adored his sisters Ella Jones Pugh, Mae Alice Singleton and Tracey Jones Barrington. They were his world and the light of his life
As he matriculated through the Duval Public School System, he found he loved two things, working with his hands and horses. He would say, " See, when you build it with your own hands nobody can ever take that accomplishment from you! It is yours forever."
Working with his hands led to a career with the Florida Wire and Cable Company where he would later retire. He would then retire a second time from Restlawn Memorial Park.
Eddie could often be seen riding about the neighborhood on his black stallion, his second love! That is, until he caught a glimpse of one Mae Frances Thomas. She caught his eye, he gave his heart and all others bowed out at his finding of his one true love. They were wedded in bliss on August 8, 1964.
Recognizing his need of a Savior, be it known, Eddie Leon Jones, Jr accepted Jesus Christ in 2018 as his Lord and Savior to the gory of God!
Eddie was the proud father of nine children namely Lawanda Denise, Robert Montinez (Lavetta), Nicholas and Victoria (predeceased twins) A second set of twins, Paulette Lorena and Paul Lorenzo (Portia), Donna Marie, Sheree Lynette (Kenneth)and Stacey LaTonia(Bobby).
The bible declares, "Blessed is the man whose quiver is full". Mr Jones found delight in his grands and great grands. They are Nazario (Nazario Jones Jr,  Zar-reayle Washington Jahleal Dixon), Saryahia, Norico (Ra-Quelle Jones, Norico Jones, Jr, Keoyon Jones) Jazmine (Maxtyn), Demi, Taylor (Taylor), Calvin  Jr , Tishiaunna (Jerrell Stinson, Ay-Indai Lee, Ali Lee), D'erik Smith, Paul Jr, Mae Frances, Takeeya (Raja Woods, Zakhi Woods) and Timothy Woods.
