Thomas Lee Crawford

Mr. Thomas Lee Crawford was born on July 25, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late John Henry and Willie Mae Crawford. He was the youngest of five siblings. He attended Duval County Public Schools and graduated in 1962 from Matthew W. Gilbert High School.

Thomas retired from the New Jersey Paper Mill after twenty years. He later returned to Jacksonville and worked many years at Alton Box Company. His earthly journey ended on September 24, 2017. Preceding him in death were his two sons: Darryl and David; two brothers: John and Raymond; a sister: Sadie Spencer; and a grandson: Michael Felder.

Thomas is survived by his brother, James Crawford (Willie Mae). He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Thomas (Denice), Lamar, Pamela (Willie James), Nina, Shadarra (Gregory), and Nikki; his grandchildren: Joseph, Salvador, Joshua, Terrance, Brittany, Mark, Jala, Yana, Gianni, Giara, Ra’Myia, Rashod, Fasjjia; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

            His Journey’s Just Begun

Don't think of him as gone away. His journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched… for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.
