Roseboro Cole

April 23, 1939 ~ November 9, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Rosboro Cole was born April 23, 1939 in Arlington, Georgia to Charlie and Lucille Cole. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who always put his family first. He was educated in the public schools in Calhoun County where he graduated from HT Singleton High School. Mr. Cole was a member of a gospel group in his earlier years. His love for gospel music never changed, it was a part of who he was. The highlight of his Sunday evenings were to go to the Gospel singings', and stay until every group performed, that gave him joy. In his leisure time he would play his guitar and sing gospel songs. He made a point of keeping in contact with all his High School classmates and attending every class reunion. His grandchildren had a special place in his heart; he enjoyed being around them, and spending as much time as possible with them. He was always giving them advice on how to be successful in life. Mr. Rosboro Cole was a God fearing man who served faithfully at his church St Paul AME, serving on the usher board until he was physically unable to continue. He was employed by Sears Roebuck for over 30 years while also working 10 years part-time at Royal Service Janitorial until his retirement. Mr. Rosboro Cole, 78 departed this life on November 9, 2017. He was married to Mary Lois Cole for over 40 years until her death in 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Cole, his mother Lucille Cole; his brothers John Cole and JC Cole. He leaves to cherish his memory ,children Kelvin (Lucille) Cole; Tonya (Darryl) Jordan, Claudette Ballard; loving sisters Dorothy Burroughs and Lucille Johnson; a loving sister-in-law Emma Brown; brother-in-law Claude (Doretha) Smith; grandchildren Ronnie (Flamesean) Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Ashley Ballard, Meagan Ballard, Darryl Jordan Jr.; two great grandchildren, Ryan Johnson Jr., Riley Johnson; close friends David Mitchell, Evelyn Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
