Larry Darnelle Jones Sr.

Mr. Larry Darnell Jones was born on September 10th 1956 to the late James C. Bernie and Helen V. Jones in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended public school in Duval County. As a child, he attended Summerville Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend G.L. Boyd. He graduated from Technical High School with the class of 1975. He also served our country as a member of the US Army for four years as an electronic technician. 

Mr. Jones worked various positions before he was employed by Duval County Public Schools as a custodian and maintenance technician until he retired. He was a man of many talents, such as repairing cars and appliances. He was truly a magician with his hands and was able to fix almost anything he put his mind to. 

His father, James Bernie, mother, Helen Jones, brother, Calvin Lasear proceeded him in death. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016. Those who will cherish his legacy and mourn his passing are his son Larry Jones Jr.; step-daughter, Tasha Harris; two brothers, Charles Jones Sr., and Paul Jones Sr; two sisters, Lavette Jones and Francenia Jones; nephews, Fabceon Brown, Solomon Hansberry, Paul Jones Jr., Charles Jones Jr., Alonzo Jones; nieces, Helena Jones, Britney Jones, Nyashia Williams, Moriah Jones, Armani Jones; one grand-niece Ayver Graham; one aunt Ruth Jones; close cousins Annie June Wiggins, Jeanette Harrison, Sylvester Wise, Cynthia Wise, Valerie Wise, and a number of other relatives and friends.
