William John Sams III was born June 27,1968 to the parents of William Sams Jr and Gloria Sams. William entered into eternal rest Friday, June 5,2020 at the age of 51. William graduated from Raines High School class of 1986. He began his career in the United States Navy following high school. He ended his career as a merchandiser with Saddle Creek Corporation in Villa Rica Georgia. William’s hobbies included shopping, spending quality time with family, cooking, and travelling. He was also an avid sports enthusiast, which was demonstrated by coaching recreational league football during his son, Joshua’s school tenure. William was a member of Crossroads for Life Ministries in Douglasville Georgia. He was mentored in the faith under the leadership of his Pastor Rev. Dr. Edwin E. Ford. He served on the usher board and the Celebrate recovery auxiliary. William was an adamant “do it yourself kind of man” who hated to complete any of his honey to do list projects. William was a genuine caring security blanket for his loved ones and friends.
William married Rosalind Sams on October 17,1998. They are the parents of Janay Aikens, Joshua Sams, Sierra Sams and, grandfather to Zola Aikens.
