Mrs. Terri Lavern Mims was born July 22, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Henry Harris Jr. and
Wilhemena McKinney. Terri graduate from William M. Raines in 1975. After graduating Terri married
her soulmate Sanchez E. Mims. She served in United States Air Force for 11 years and was honorable
discharged. Terri worked as a medical coder and food hospitality manager. She was an active member of
Greater Mt. Salem Baptist Church. Where she served under leadership of Pastor Emeritus Charles E.
Banks and Bishop Joel Robinson; Senior Pastor; Terri was a faithful member of district # 3 (Dec. Leon
Reed). She currently served on the Care Circle 5 (Wynona Cash leader). Terri also was a dedicated
member of the missionary society; Missionary President Lucy Banks
Terri was preceded in death by her father Henry Harris Jr. and mother Wilhemena McKinney; her sisters
Gladys Harris and Gail Harris; brother Henry Harris III. On July 13, 2022 Terri received he heavenly
reward, she leaves a legacy of love and memories to be cherished by her loving husband of 45 years
Sanchez E. Mims. To this union three beautiful children, one son Sanchez L. Mims, two daughters
Monique T. Mims and Tanay B. Mims. Three grandchildren Willie Baldwin, San’terio Mims and Monai
Rickerson. One Brother Jackie Harris (Amanda) and one Aunt Deloris Hughes. She also leaves to cherish
sister-in-laws Sebrina Span (Rufus), Castorine Graham (late Jerry), Wynelle Bovain (Allen), brother-in-
law: Acie Mims (Sheila). Nieces and nephews Teon, Juan, Johnathan, Ashley, Natalie, Alonda, Torin,
Velvet, Michael, Bruce, Anetra, Antonio, Michael and other loving relatives and friends. Special thanks
