Mrs. Mary Walker-Wade was born on January 14, 1941 in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Homer and Ada Walker. She was the baby of fifteen children. She attended the public schools in Georgia and graduated from Stanton High School and Cosmetology School in Jacksonville, FL. She was a well-known beautician in Jacksonville for over 50 years.
At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a member of Historic Mount Zion.
On October 6, 2011 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Raymond Wade who preceded her in death.
She was affectionately known for her kind words and giving heart, her sense of fashion, her love for dancing (Joe and Rockettes), fishing and traveling.
On July 9, 2020, she crossed over from death to life with thirteen siblings preceding her in death as well as her only son Michael Martin. Her life memories will be forever cherished by a very loving family, one daughter Madelene Howard, one grandson Eugene Brannon, three granddaughters Alexandria Howard, Alexis Howard, Chante Howard, one great-granddaughter Mari Dawson-Brannon, one sister Maggie Pitts, two step-daughters Andrea Willis (Theodis) and Yolanda Jenkins (Broderick), three sisters-in-law Katherine Woodson, Sallie Mae Walker and Bessie Walker, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Very special friends John & Delores Brannon, Patricia Porter, Esther J. Hall and Annie McCray.
