Ms. Mary Lou Booker was born on January 27, 1944 in Waynesboro, Georgia to Frank Booker and Irene Douse. She attended Stanton High and graduated from Edward Waters College with a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Bachelor in Arts. She was employed by the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Services as a Social Worker for 30 years of service. She was well known in her community for helping the sick and Shut INS.
Mary is Survived by son: Roderick Booker, Sr. (Michelle); brother: Charles Jenkins (Brenda) of Atlanta, Georgia; God-children: Sharon Myers (Billy) of Jacksonville, Florida, Cynthia Rogers (Granville) of Ly, Kentucky, Lucretia Norman (Bobby) of Jacksonville, Florida, Patrick Piper (Johnetta) of Honolulu, Hawaii; loving aunt: Annie Mae Anthony (Joe) of Waynesboro, Georgia: grandchildren: Sha’Ketia Jackson (Daniel) of Jacksonville, Florida, Rudolph Floyd (Kateena) of Jacksonville, Flrida, Xavier Durden of Jacksonville, Florida, Roderick Booker, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, Ca’Shea Booker of Jacksonville; Six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
