Honoring the Memory of
John Willard Hendrix Jr. the son of John Willard Hendrix Sr. and the late Jeannette Hendrix (Hazel) was born in Savannah, GA on November 20, 1958. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
John, known to many as Johnny, attended Lincoln High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. He went on to join the United States Army, where he served his country well for many years. He worked many years as a salesman in Jersey City, New Jersey.
In the fall of 2002 John was invited to the Holy Tabernacle Cathedral in NYC where he met Deaconess Natashya Mitchell, they united in Holy Matrimony in 2004 and soon after relocated to Tampa, Florida. After retiring from a lengthy career in sales he enjoyed meeting many people while working his job at Walmart. While in Florida he also grew in his faith and eventually was ordained as a minister.
John is preceded in death by his grandson Javion Jackson Julesi, his mother Jeannette Hendrix, a sister Cynthia D. Hendrix Ransom, his mother-in-law Minnie (Graves) Mitchell and father-in-law Raymond Mitchell, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Natashya Hendrix, two sons; Jonathan Jules and John Alexander Hendrix; 9 grandchildren: his father John W. Hendrix Sr.: two brothers Reginald and Michael Hendrix; three brother-n-laws Raymond Mitchell Jr., Eric Mitchell, & Deric Mitchell, three sisters, Felicia Hendrix Cuttray, Jennifer Bishop and Christol Hendrix, sister-n-law Anna (McCall) Samuels; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
John truly loved the Lord and enjoyed fellowshipping about the word of God with others no matter the time or place. He will truly be missed by all.
