Eric Brooks

Eric Mallachi Zackery Brooks Sr. was born April 28, 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Frank Daniel Jones and Judith P. Huggins. He attended local schools and graduated class of 1989. In his early ages up to high school, Eric played football and basketball earning trophies and winning state championships. Eric worked at Innovative Construction Group where he well known and loved by his coworkers.

Eric Brooks was a devoted son, a loving brother, a supportive father, a cool uncle and a proud grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, traveling, sports, and educating others on his Islamic beliefs. He used his creativity and developed his own purse and accessory line called “E. Zackery”

Eric’s laugh and loud voice brought joy and excitement into every atmosphere that he entered. He would always greet his family with a warm hug and a painful tickle. He invested a lot of time, sweat, and tears in to building a home for himself and his family.

Eric Brooks at the age of 48 entered into his eternal rest December 28, 2019. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his daughter Tanedra Dubose (Johnathan Green) and his son Eric Mallachi Zackery Brooks Jr. (Andrea Brooks); four beloved grandchildren: Ezekiel Warfield, Paris Ariana Isis Brooks, Eric Mallachi Zackery Brooks III, and Savannah Lynn Green; mother: Judith Huggins; pop: Norvelle Lisbon; sisters: Traci Brooks- Goodson (Keith) & Tamiko Nicole McCann; brother: Fredrick Jones; nieces: Chasity Nicole Goodson & Jazlyn Tishyah Nelson (Baby Scoot Poot).

Aunts: Angela Wright, Gail Mobley, Beverly Brooks, Mary A. Brown & 1 deceased

Uncles: Harry Brooks, Leonard Brooks- Jackson (Micheline), George Brooks, & 3 deceased

And a host of cousins including Wayne Wright (Who shared the same birthday), friends, and Islamic family
