Mr. Charles B. Haynes, Jr. was born April 23, 1949, to the late Charles B. Haynes, Sr., and Nettie P. Haynes, in Union Springs, Alabama. He lived his primary and the early years of his life in Columbus, Georgia, graduating from William H. Spencer High School.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Air Force serving 4 years to protect our country. Upon leaving the Air Force, he settled down in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Charles Benjamin Haynes, Jr. received an Associate Degree in Refrigeration Maintenance and Repair. His certification in these areas allowed him to gain employment in a nationwide company here in the U. S. He set his goal for his passion, HVAC Maintenance and Repair, and gained employment at the University of North Florida until his retirement.
Mr. Charles Benjamin Haynes, Jr. had a zest for the game of golf. Every extra minute he could spare, he was on a golf field, and he was a golf pro in his own right.
Although he had no children, he considered his nieces and nephews his children, becoming a mentor to them all. He was known to many as "Uncle Charles" who they admired very much.
Mr. Charles Benjamin Haynes, Jr. is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles B. Haynes, Sr., and Nettie P. Haynes, his beloved wife, Mrs. Elaine Haynes and his beloved sister, Janice K. Moore.
He leaves behind to carry on his legacy and to cherish his memory three siblings, Harry G. Haynes, Sabra A. Boynton, and Rodney Haynes, Sr. (Linda); Loving nephews and nieces, Kevin B Williams (Tamika), Leslie P. Capers (Maurice), Terrence Moore, Deidra Haynes, Rodney Haynes, Jr., and Rickey T Boynton, II; a host of great nephews and nieces; a great great nephew and a niece on the way, and a host of loving cousins and friends.
