Willie Elmore Obituary Mr. Willie James Elmore was born on July 10, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida to Rosena Purcell and Willie Elmore. He attended Kirby Smith Middle School and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. He served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. He was also employed by waste management, until an unfortunate on the job injury resulted in early retirement. He was known in the community for being a mentor to at-risk youths. He was always a beacon of light to all who looked to him for guidance and wisdom. He is survived by: Daughters Felicia Rickerson, Jenadenyell Elmore (Preceded in death), Grandsons Marcus Hoby Jr., Parrish Hobdy, Tamerick A. Johnson, Sister Barbara Elmore (Syracuse New York), Sisters (preceded in death) Maxine Jones, Gloria Middleton, Patricia Griffin and a host of nieces (great nieces), nephews (great nephews) and other relatives and friends.
