Voncile D. Thomas-Westberry

Voncile Denise Thomas-Westberry affectionately known as "Niecy" was born March 17, 1971, to the late Barbra Jean Thomas and Bernard L. Thomas, Sr. She was married to Henry Westberry in 1995. Niecy attended William M. Raines High School where she was in the Spanish club, Honor Society and the band. Niecy graduated in 1989. Niecy also attended FCCJ for nursing and worked as a nurse for 13 years at St. Vincent's Hospital and later Shands Hospital where she retired. Niecy was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor R. L. Gundy. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars. She was ranked as a Past Worthy Matron of Ladies of Essence #655. Niecy was team mom for the Grand Park Pop Warner Cheer Leaders. She served her community in many different capacities. On December 23, 2012, Voncile Denise Thomas-Westberry was welcomed into heaven. She leave to cherish her memory: Father: Bernard L. Thomas, Sr. (Deborah) children: Kala Cosby, and Mia Westberry; Brother: Bernard L. Thomas, Jr. (Lathersa); Grandchildren: Kalon, Kevaughn, and Nevaeh; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins, and friends.
