Trumaine Orvell Lewis

Trumaine Orvelle Lewis, lovingly known as "True", was born on February 17, 1975, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Jerome King and Brenda Ann Lewis. True's journey was one marked by passion, resilience, and an indomitable spirit. A proud graduate of Lee High School, he transformed his charismatic personality and natural talent for sales into a successful business.

With a smile that had the ability to brighten even the darkest of rooms, True's infectious laughter was a testament to his joyful spirit and zest for life. He was a man of determination and love, always blazing his own trail, and embodying the mantra of "Mr. Make It Happen."

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, True departed this earthly life to find peace with the Lord. He was welcomed by the loving arms of three remarkable women who played pivotal roles in his upbringing: Johnnie Mae Lewis, Sheila King, and Catherine Ross. He is also predeceased by his brothers, Muhammed "Tray" Shakir, Jerome King Jr., Eric King, and beloved sister, Vicky King.

True leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and family. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Brenda Lewis; son, Glen Hayes; and adoring grandchildren, Christina Jackson, Vaughn McDaniel, and Yvaughn McDaniel. His memory will forever be held dear by his brothers, Ladell Heath, Thalmadge Billingslea, Jerome King, and Daniel King, as well as his sisters, Penny Mote and Sheila Tillman (Nathan). Additionally, he held a special place in the heart of his dear friend, Angela Myers, and his affectionate cousin, Robin Grant, along with countless uncles, aunts, relatives, and friends who were touched by his life.

As we celebrate True's life, we remember the joy he brought into our lives, the love he shared, and the determination he inspired in us all. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to shine through the love of his family and the memories we hold close to our hearts.
