Olive in 2004 with Elder Lee Harris as pastor. On July 24, 2018, God called Sister Carter home. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter: LaWanda Thomas. She leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Deidra Grant (Anthony); son, Derrick Bowers (Katina); grandchildren, Erica Middleton, Tonisha Grant, Derrick Bowers, Lataya Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Shateria Lowman, Derrick Bowers and Brionna Johnson; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Mallory (J.C) of Waycross; 2 brothers, Paul Owens (Pearl) and Leonard Owens both of Brunswick, Ga.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
