Rudolph James, Jr., affectionately known as "Buster" or "Rudy" was the second child, and only son born to Mr. Rudolph, Sr., & Mrs. Flora Mae James on October 6, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida. Rudolph was reared and educated in the local schools on the south side of Duval County; Jacksonville, Florida. In 1969, he graduated from Samuel C. Wolfson High School. He made a career of working in the construction and landscaping industry. Rudolph was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was known for his humor and very caring spirit. You could always catch "Buster" socializing and having a good time with his "Brooker Road" comrades. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing as one of his favorite hobbies. Rudolph was preceded in death by a host of close family members, to include: his parents, Mr. Rudolph, Sr., and Mrs. Flora Mae James; his maternal grandparents, Mr. Wallace and Mrs. Laura Bell Tarver; his paternal grandparents, Mr. Lemuel Sr., and Mrs. Maggie James; uncles, Mr. Lemuel James, Jr., Mr. Fred James, Sr. and Mr. Wallace Tarver, Jr.; aunts, Mrs. Irene Tolliver, Mrs. Ethel Paul, Mrs. Janie McCoy, and Mrs. Wilhelmina Hayes; and brother in-law; Mr. Leonard T. Mobley. The Lord, our God who gives life has the right to call his own unto himself, and on Wednesday morning, August 31, 2016, Rudolph answered the call and went home to his eternal resting place. He is survived by his sisters: Mrs. Rutricia F. OBerry (Malachi), Mrs. Evelyn C. Mobley (Leonard deceased), and Mrs. Eileen Williams (Andre, Sr.); nephews: Antonio James, Sr. (Deshantra), James OBerry, Dr. Andre Williams, Jr. (Ana), Matthew OBerry, Sr. (Natasha), Theodore Edmunds and Timothy OBerry; nieces: Yolanda Booker (Roderick), Vonkesta Mobley Abrams , Jenelle Young (Darrell), Yuneisha Hagan (Larry), and Lynedra Mobley (Levistio), aunt; Mrs. Ethel James (Fred deceased); and a host of great nephews and nieces, relatives and sorrowing friends; among them: David Cowart, Bernita Simmons, Robert & Letha Hagans, and Charles Hartley.
