Robin Daniels

March 2, 1954 — October 12, 2025

Robin Gaylord Daniels was born on March 2, 1954, to the late Mary Lee Daniels and Emmanuel Daniels in Waycross, Georgia—a place he forever called home and held close to his heart.

Robin was lovingly raised by his grandmother, Lila T. Shaw, with whom he shared a deep and nurturing bond. Lila preceded him in death, as did his sister Lena Anderson, his brothers: Melvin Daniels, Gaylord Daniels, Chris Farmer, and his beloved daughters; Shandrika Mazyck (Florida) and Shont’e Daniels (California).

From a young age, Robin demonstrated strength, discipline, and a strong desire to serve others. He enlisted in the United States military, proudly serving as a Food Service Specialist. During his service, he discovered a lifelong passion for cooking—creating meals that brought people together and reflected his generous spirit.

Although Waycross was always in his heart, Robin later moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where he continued to build a life rooted in family and faith. Shortly thereafter, he became a devoted member of DeLand Missionary Baptist Church, worshiping alongside his beloved sister Jeanette Thomas and his mother Mary Lee Daniels.

Cooking was where Robin found comfort and joy. Whether feeding his family, friends, or neighbors, he found happiness in seeing others enjoy the fruits of his labor. His love for cooking was matched only by his love for his family.

A proud native of Waycross, Georgia, Robin carried its sense of community and resilience throughout his life. He was a man of humor and heart—always quick with a smile and a story to share.

Robin leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters: Sonya Daniels (Georgia), Daphne Daniels (Florida), and Shakira Daniels (Georgia). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will forever remember his love, laughter, and wisdom.

Robin leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
