Raymond Arthur Maxim, 73, of Waycross, passed away peacefully at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., Sunday (June 24, 2012) after a brief illness. Born March 30, 1939 in Fleischmanns, N.Y., he was the son of Chloe Vermilyea and Hiram Maxim. He was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Sue West, a son, Scott James Maxim, a sister, Chloe Pebler, and a brother, Robert. He is survived by four children, Merri Maxim, of Shandaken, N.Y., Thomas and Tina Maxim, of Stamford, N.Y., Angela Maxim, of Waycross, and Daniel and Leila Marie Maxim, of Waycross; four grandchildren, Keith Roberts, of Arkville, N.Y., Christina Maxim, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Nick and Nate Maxim, of Waycross; and one great-grandson, Ryker Mason Roberts, of Arkville, N.Y.; a sister, Patricia Kratchovil; two brothers, Alan and Wayne, all from New York; and many loving family members and friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at The Refinery Church on Central Avenue, Brantley County. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church. Arrangements are entrusted to C.L. Page Mortuary Inc.,
