Phyllis Dean Obituary Phyllis Denise Dean was born on March 15,1950 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Bernice Sumpter and Alvie McNair. She retired from Life Care Health Care Center after more than 25 years of service in the Healthcare Industry. She became a born again Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was diligent and dedicated to spreading the gospel to all, but especially to the patients in her care. She loved singing and beating her tambourine. She was a member of The Church Fellowship Worship Ministries for many, many years and had recently joined the Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan Dean, sisters Shirley Brown, Clara Greene, Beatrice Beckworth and Thelma Holmes. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter: Meshall Smith(Bobby); sons: Randy Jackson and Michael Dean; sisters: Brenda Manning(Tom) and Cauretta Sumpter; brother: James Sumpter(Carol); grandchildren: Alaina Jackson, Ranisha Jackson, Michael Dean, Mikeese Dean, Allyssie Dean, Willie Lee III, Deandre Jackson, John Jackson and Ciara Jackson; nine great grandchildren including her Boo-Bear Tiego Croxton, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
