LOVING MEMORIES Of Michelle Demetrius Purnell Washington We are confident, I say, and wiling rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. ~ I Corinthians 5:8 ~ Michelle D. Purnell Washington answered the call of our heavenly Father on the evening of July 16, 2015. Her life journey began on May 11, 1962, with her parents, Mrs. Patricia Scott and Mr. William (Billy) Nelson, Jacksonville, Florida. Michelle attended the local schools of Duval County and upon her family moving to Trenton, New Jersey, she matriculated in the local schools of Trenton. At an early age Michelle was embraced by her paternal grandmother, Mo. Ruth Nelson, who lovingly taught her the ways of God and His eternal plan of salvation. After many years of being away, Michelle and her family moved back to Jacksonville, where she connected with Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ. Michelle was employed by Memorial Hospital as a Team Leader in the emergency room. She was well respected and loved by her co-workers and everyone she came in contact with. Michelle will forever be cherished and remembered by: Her Mother; Mrs. Patricia Scott (Thaddeus). Her Children; Sakina, Lester, Cedric, Leslianne (Shuntun), Pamela, Taiherha and Ogden. Her Sisters; Aleathea Morrison (Walter), and Billi Nelson. Her Brothers; Leonard, Isaac (Quianas), Phillip (Tonya) Purnell, Anthony Thornton (Stephanie), Rodney Keith (Patricia), Cedric, and Winston (Shante) Nelson. Five Loving Aunts including R. Antoinette Nelson, eight Uncles, 10 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.
