Melvin Tillman Obituary Melvin was born March 12, 1933 in Dixie, Georgia to Squire and Susie Tillman. Mr. Tillman was in the Army. He retired from David Block Concrete and later worked at the Duval County Public Schools as a bus driver. He loved to spend time with family, friends, go fishing and watch football. Melvin departed this life on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Squire Tillman; mother, Susie Worthy-Tillman; sons, Melvin Reginald Tillman and Linton James Wimberly; brother, Lonnie Carey Tillman; sister, Ruth Tillman-Clark. Melvin leaves behind his beloved wife Jacqueline; Son, Winnon Carter (Gloria) of Springfield, MA,; Daughters: Melvina Brown of Jacksonville, FL Wanda Tillman-Mackey of Orange Park, FL Barbara Ann Jones of Jacksonville, FL ; Step-daughter, Martu Andrews of Jacksonville, FL; Brother-n-law John (Trixie) Andrews of Jacksonville, FL; Mother-n-law Jessie Doles of Columbus, OH. And a host of loving grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Melvin will be GREATLY missed!
