Maxerine Harvey Obituary The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23: 1 Mrs. Maxerine G. Harvey was born on September 20, 1927, in Ellaville, Georgia to the parents of Mrs. Edna Willie Black Glover and Mr. George Glover Sr. She attended and graduated from Sumter County Public Schools, Americus, Georgia. After graduation she met and married Mr. Artie Harvey, and unto this union 6 children were born. They relocated to Jacksonville, FL. She employed with Dr. James Dyer and remained with this family for 40 years until her retirement. She joined Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church March 2, 1952. Her 70-year tenure at Zion Hope has included being an active member of the Sunday School, Nurses Guild, Youth Department (Old Zion Hope), Usher Board 4, Agape Ministry, Flora and Decoration Ministry. Her community affiliation involved being an active member of the Maggie Kemp Fellowship Club She is known for her kindness, meek spirit and gorgeous smile. She loved her family and church family. Always helping anyone in need. Sister Maxie will truly be missed. Sister Harvey was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Artie Harvey and 4 children. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Mr. Jerry Harvey (Linda) and A.J. Harvey, sibling: Mr. George Glover, Jr., Americus, Georgia, son-in-law: Mr. Roy Palmer, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia, aunt: Catherine Jackson, niece: Ms. Deborah J. Boone-Jackson, California, and host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends, God Daughter: Mrs. Minnie Lee Chandler (Thomas), Devoted Friends: Mrs. Magdalene F. Hicks, Mrs. Lorraine Jackson, Mrs. Gussie Hull, Mrs. Lucretia Brunson, Ms. Annette Capers and Mrs. Eula Bronner, Devoted Deacon: Deacon Joseph Jackson.
