Marion Miller Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marion L. Miller, who departed this life on May 31, 2023. Mrs. Miller was born on 27 July 1965 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Samuel Bennefield Sr. and Jewel Brown. Marion accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime faithful member of Saint Stephen African Episcopal Church. Marion's relationship with God was at the forefront of her life. Her devotion to her faith was evident in her extensive donations to various charity and service organizations, where she positively impacted the lives of those less fortunate. After graduating from Lee General High School in 1982, Marion worked various jobs and later became a diligent Walmart employee. Her career at Walmart included her being an Associate and Department Manager at numerous locations over the past 33 years. She was also a Certified Food Safety Manager, a nationally recognized title which ensures food safety practices are enforced throughout establishments. Anyone who has ever worked with her can attest that she was an excellent manager and motivator, always leading by example. Marion's passions extended beyond community service, as she was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, baking cakes, and decorating her home. Marion had a unique talent for adding a touch of 'bling' to anything she could get her hands on, a prime example of her creative spirit and love for all things beautiful. Marion was a double lung organ recipient and, in her passing, had the honor of donating her organs to save others. This act of kindness was a true testament of her generous nature. Marion was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. Her generosity and kindness knew no bounds, and she could always be counted on to offer a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Marion was preceded in death by her mother Jewel Brown, father Samuel Bennefield Sr., sisters Charlene Rose and Robbin Pugh, and niece Kalima Rose. Marion leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Kevin Miller Sr; children Johnetta Young (Steven), Kevin Miller Jr. (Bria), Dejon Miller, Tenesha Miller; 9 grandchildren; siblings Jerry Rose, Felecia Samuel, Carolyn Goodwine (Jermaine), 9 half-siblings, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Marion will be fondly remembered for her love, generosity, perseverance, sense of humor, and her contagious smile. Her memory will live on through the lives of her family and friends, who will carry her legacy of kindness and resilience with them. A viewing for Marion Miller will be held on June 16, 2023, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at C. L. Page Mortuary, where family and friends can pay their respects and share their memories of Marion's beautiful soul. The memorial service will take place on June 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephens Episcopal Church. The church's welcoming atmosphere reflects Marion's own warm personality, making it an ideal place to celebrate her life and remember her cherished spirit. Immediately following the memorial service, Marion will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park on June 17, 2023. As we gather to say our final goodbyes, we will remember Marion's unwavering kindness and her generous nature that touched the lives of many. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion's memory may be made to a charity of your choice, as a testament to her legacy of love, compassion, and support for those in need. Marion's family is eternally grateful for all the love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
