Marilyn Quaintance Obituary Mrs. Marilyn Denise Quaintance was born on April 3, 1960, in Jacksonville, FL. She was born to the late Lewis M. Thomas (deceased) and Julia Thomas. While attending Duval County public schools, she graduated from technical high school in 1978. She went on to further her education with an A.S degree from Jones College. She provided 35 years of service to the state of Florida through the Department of Education, Vocational Rehabilitation. She established her career as a clerk II and was promoted to a vocational rehab tech, after which she retired from the State of Florida. Her greatest joy and love were serving the Lord and savior Jesus Christ which she accepted at the age of 25. Mrs. Quaintance started her fellowship under the leadership of Pastor B. Williams, True Light of God Christ Holy Family, Bishop L. Blackshear and House of Bethel of Truth Ministry, Apostle B. Dowling. Because of her involvement in the ministries, she shared the gift of love to everyone she knew. She always talked about the goodness of God and how one should lean and depend on him. Mrs. Quaintance even expressed Gods desire for salvation and holiness in her walk with him to everyone. She was a devoted servant of God and was not ashamed or afraid to tell anybody. Mrs. Quaintance was called home on Sunday November 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her son, Maurice R. Quaintance (2007); daughter, Laticia Quaintance (2023); father, Lewis Thomas, Sr.; Brother, Ricky Thomas; and Sister, Linda Lewis. She is survived by her mother, Julia Thomas; spouse, Lewis Quaintance; sons, Lewis L. Quaintance and Jairus Quaintance; daughter, DKeliah Quaintance; stepdaughter, Tamika Harrington-Hill; sisters, Carol and Teresa Thomas; brothers, Lewis Thomas, Jr. (Rosalyn), Randy Thomas (Gloria), and Michael Thomas; brother-in-law, Roosevelt; grandchildren, Tyrus, Kirus, and Narah Quaintance; Maurice, Mellissa, Maurissa, and Asia Quaintance; Dakota Wilson and Daylon Field; great-grandchildren, Chase Quaintance; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins as well as beloved friends.
