Mr. Luther James Lee was born September 16, 1936 in Edison, Georgia to the late Sam and Pearlie Lee and entered into rest on December 28, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Luther James Lee was educated in the local schools in Edison and later moved to Palatka, Florida where he spent many years. In April 1961 he married Venus Clemons and from that union was born a daughter. Mr. Lee was employed in the early 1960s by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority as one of the first wave of African American bus drivers. Mr. Lee also song with the Sensational Gospel Singers through the early 70's. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior on October 7, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Mrs. Rosalyn Lee-Miller (Rodger); several brothers and sisters; two grandchildren, Mrs. LaShon Lee-Andrews (Windell) and Ms. Luckisha Hilna Juste; five great-grandchildren, Jayla, Jabarie, James, Hannah, and Windell, Jr., former wife and caretaker Ms. Venus Clemons; two special sons, Mr. Jason Greene and Robert Williams and a host of devoted friends.
