Louis Croom, Jr Obituary Mr. Louis Croom, Jr was born September 16, 1937 in Uniontown, Alabama to Louis D. Croom, Sr and Athea G. Croom. He met and married Thelma J. Croom. He was employed by the United States Navy for 20 years of service. He was an active member of various churches. He was well known in his community for opening his home to many who were in need. He is survived by his devoted wife: Thelma Jones Croom; stepchildren: Hernandez & Dereck Jones; grandchildren: Hernandez C, Mariko, and SanToyrez L. Jones; great-grandchildren: Tyquan K. Jones, Amariyana Jones, Zykel H. Jones, Zyron V. Jones; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and a host of cousins, friends, and relatives.
