Born on October 29, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Lillian L. Battle and Joseph Drye. She was raised in Brooklyn and proudly graduated from Girls High School, where her poise and talent began to shine through.
Linda had a distinguished career at Meadow Brook Hospital, where she served with dedication and compassion. Beyond her professional work, Linda was admired for her elegance and grace. A striking beauty with a magnetic presence, she enjoyed a successful run in modeling and was widely known for her beautiful singing voice. Her love for the arts was more than a passion—it was her way of connecting with the world.
Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, Linda founded her own business, Touched by an Angel, through which she inspired and empowered others. Her creativity, determination, and love of beauty left a lasting legacy in both her personal and professional life. Linda Lucille Drye, departed this life peacefully on July 28, 2025, at the age of 81.
Above all, Linda was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother. She leaves behind her loving sons: Derrick Drye, Darrell Moore (Jenny), Leelynn Drye, and Shadeed Drye (Manasha). She is also survived by her brother Richard, and five cherished sisters: Catherine, Julia, Monique, Monica, and Hope. Her sister-in-law Francis also mourns her loss.
Linda’s memory will be carried on by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends and loved ones who were touched by her warmth, strength, and unmistakable presence.
