Leroy Cromwell

Mr. Leroy Cromwell (Roy) was born on May 16, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina to Christopher and Mabel Cromwell, Sr. He attended James Island High School, Florida Junior College and served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves. After service, he settled in Jacksonville where he worked at a local Chevron Station, Hubbard House and Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce. On Wednesday, April 15, 2017, he went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Mabel Cromwell; daughter, Hope Cromwell Bryant and brothers, Richard Simmons and Stanley Cromwell. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Kenya Cromwell; grandchildren, Tamara Bryant, Jasmine Cromwell and Walter Bryant; brothers, Christopher Cromwell, Jr., Frank Simmons, Alvin M. Cromwell and Curtis Cromwell (Miriam); sisters, Gloria Corbin (Clyde) and Tracey Brown of Charleston, South Carolina and Sheryl Stevens and Patricia Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; four great-grandchildren; aunts; nieces; nephews; cousins and a host of other relatives and friends including long time friends, Gracie Cox and her daughter Angela Cox.
