Katonia Dawsey Obituary Mrs. Katonia "Tonia" Clemons Dawsey, daughter of Kasinal Cashe White and Walter Lee Bryant was born on January 30, 1975, in Sanford, FL. She was the firstborn daughter for both. Tonia attended schools of Union County and was a part of the graduating class of 1994. At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and as an adult later joined Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ of Lake Butler where she was a dedicated member. At Full Gospel, she served faithfully as leader of Youth Programs. Tonia enlisted in the US Army in 1998 and served her country faithfully for 6 years. Tonia was actively involved in the local community. Despite chronic and debilitating health challenges, Tonia continued being a cheer mom and coach for the Union County Pop Warner Cheerleaders. She was a devoted mother, who cherished each of her children. Her Christian life was inspiring and unwavering, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She courageously departed this life at 3:36 am on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Tallahassee Regional Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Andrew James and Ruby Mae Cashe; paternal grandmother Ernestine Bryant; and devoted uncle, SFC Alvin C. Cashe. Tonias beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family. Those left to grieve include her husband, Wayne Dawsey; four children: Devin Clemons (Brianna "Bri") of Alexandria, KY, Dymarious Clemons of Tallahassee, Deovuan Clemons of Gainesville, and Dyshawn Dawsey of Lake Butler; two beautiful granddaughters who stole her heart, Adeline and Amiyah; devoted mother, Kasinal White of Tallahassee; father, Walter Bryant of Newark, NJ; stepchildren: Dontae Dawsey, Dariaun Dawsey, Datron Dawsey, and Dontea Dawsey; siblings: Tamieio Spradley of Orlando, Marieio Spradley (Tramekiah "Kiah") of Tampa, Tera-Ceta Clark of Rochester, NY, Tamika Taylor (Leonard) of Newark, NJ, Tawanda Ward (Melody) of Newark, NJ, Christine Bryant-Clarke (Amber) of Rochester, NY; she will live on in the hearts of her aunts: May Etta, Bernadine, Yvonne (Robert), Andrea, Marlene, and Claudette; and uncles: Karlos, Eulie, Jerris, Al Collin, Tracy (Delores), Gary (Janet), and Willie (June). Tonia will be remembered by her four nephews: Qujuan, William "Straw," Quieinton, and Jaxen; two nieces: Amarieia "Suga," and Tatyana; godchildren: Elijah, Kayden, and Ayden; and a host of very special relatives and friends.
