Joshua C. Thomas

Joshua Christopher Thomas was born on October 25, 1982 and was almost immediately christened as a beacon in the community.

His early life was spent in the public schools of Atlantic Beach, Florida and working jobs in the service and restaurant industries; but it was in his teenage years that he developed his love for The Lord and giving to others through acts of service, compassion, and generosity.

Joshua was a friend to all, believing that he could WILL them into a better disposition and he was successful in almost all of those endeavors. He proved that riches are not only measured monetarily but also in the impact that you can make in someone’s life through mere presence if your concern for their wellbeing is genuine.

Being raised primarily by his Grandmother, Marie Thomas, Josh had an old soul and would often quote sayings far older than himself. He was a spiritual person that shed light on many and tried to leave every situation he encountered better than he found it. Even as he experienced his own personal challenges he was deeply fixated on contributing to the success of those within his purview.

Joshua is survived by his Mother Sandra Thomas, Brother Antoine Bean, Aunts Beverly Thomas and Elinor Jackson, First Cousins Selena Thomas, Matalauney Thomas, Ariana Base, Isaiah Harp, Vanetta Scott, Valencia McCaskill and dozens if not hundreds of friends and loved ones that will cherish the memories they created together over the years.

Joshua was a kind and loving person that always had something to give but that was the kind of life he truly lived.
