Johnnie Porter Jr. Obituary Mr. Johnnie Melvin Porter Jr. was born on November 23, 1937 in Jacksonville Florida to Johnnie M. Porter Sr. and Ruby Mae Washington. He attended Pinellas High School and graduated from Pinellas High School. He met and married Suzette D. Purdy. He was employed by St. Pantry Pride for 19 years. He was baptized at Mathew's Missionary Baptist Church and he served his country in the U.S. Army. He was well known in his community as President of the Good Guys Motorcycle Association. He was also known for his active role on the Board of Forestville Athletic Association. Johnnie was owner/operator of Coastal Trucking until he retired. Johnnie is preceded by son Nathaniel Porter; parents Johnnie Porter Sr. and Ruby Mae Porter. special nephew Lamont Willis Johnnie is survived by his wife Suzette Porter of 43 years of marriage. Leaves to cherish his memories children Michael Porter (Carolyn), Reginald Porter, Cassandra Porter-McGriff, Patrick Porter, Johnnie Porter III, Twanette Purdy, and Carlotta Purdy. Siblings Rose Linder, Frankie Lafe', Ruth Bell, George Porter, and James Porter. He leaves his cherish memories of twenty-nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who love him dearly.
