John Thomas, Jr. Obituary On August 18, 2020 John Thomas Jr. departed this life at the age of 99 at the Hospice Care in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on May 7, 1921 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Mr. & Mrs. John Thomas. John married the late Adelaide Bacon and out of this union they were blessed with 5 children Mary (Deceased), Kathleen, Herbert (Deceased), Barbara, Larry (Deceased). Later in life, after the death of his first wife, John married MaryLou Singleton, surviving wife and out of this union they were blessed with 5 children: Cynthia, Chuckie, Sheila, Charlayne and Sandy. John was preceded in death by his beloved companion Daisy Wilson and leaves to cherish from this relationship 2 daughters Catinna (Clifford), Tonya (Latika). John joined the United States Army in 1943 and is a World War II veteran. He was a chef at the Fort Stewart military base in Hinesville, Georgia. John had three siblings Regis Bell, Billy (Deceased) and Horace (Deceased). He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
