James Shaw Jr. Obituary James Abraham Shaw Jr. was born December 29, 1949, in Lake City, South Carolina to Dorothy and Abraham Shaw. Affectionately known as 'Danky Boy' and 'old school', James was raised in a loving household with his six siblings (4 sisters and two brothers). He graduated from Carver High School in 1968 and later attended vocational school to become a certified patient assistant. Later, he would go on to work for ab dicks industries operating a forklift as well as working for his brother-in law in the construction industry. James would eventually meet, fall in love and marry the love of his life Betty Waters Shaw on December 5, 1992, and spend the next 31 years together. It was not uncommon to see 'Danky' on his prized black three wheeled motorized scooter that he customized with his loud old school music and a license plate on the front that read 'goat' greatest of all times. in addition to his wife Betty Waters Shaw, James leaves behind his 4 children James Abraham Cooper, Vanessa Wilson (Gregory) James Anthony Shaw and Warren Patrick Newsome Shaw, his beloved sister Minerva Shaw and brother Larry Shaw. Lastly, Grandpa Shaw is mourned by his 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and will be missed by his cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends in Philadelphia, South Carolina, and Florida.
