James Samuels

James Samuels, born on April 23, 1948, peacefully departed this life on January 8, 2026. He was a beloved member of the Jacksonville community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James dedicated his life to uplifting those around him. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering support for family and friends were hallmarks of his character. Throughout his years, he touched the lives of many, imparting wisdom and grace in all his interactions.

A visitation will be held in his honor on January 20, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Oakland, located at 1025 Jessie Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where stories and memories will be shared to commemorate the impact James had on those around him.

James will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery on January 21, 2026. The interment is scheduled to begin at 12:30 PM at 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
