Jahmia Belsches

May 20, 2006 — July 28, 2025

Middleburg

Jah’Mia Belsches A.K.A “MeMe” was born on May 20, 2006, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Shaina Bell and Jamel Belsches. She was their golden child and first-born daughter. She was Shaina’s only daughter and very special because she made her a mother at just 16 years old, born on her maternal great-grandmother’s birthday. She was destined for greatness and ready to make her mark on the world.

Jah’Mia was a very happy and free-spirited child, full of love and life. When she was a child, she enjoyed dancing and playing with her siblings and cousins. She loved going to Terry Ann’s house and spending the night. Meme was a beautiful soul loved by all around her. She was given the nickname “Lite-Brite” as a child because of her light skin complexion and even brighter personality, even from a baby. She was full of energy and laughter.

She often enjoyed watching videos on Tik-Tok and making Tik-Tok videos dancing with her cousins and friends. Meme also enjoyed going to parties, attending concerts, and gaming in her free time. Jah’Mia was the life of the party, she was always dancing, always talking on the phone, and loved hanging out with her friends. She spent a lot of time with her grandparents and cousins, whom she loved and cared for deeply. She was a young person who truly cared and enjoyed the company of her elders; she cared for them and helped them with daily tasks, and was very sweet.

Jah’Mia’s love for people and caring for them is what led her to pursue nursing. For the Fall 25’, she was headed to Norfolk, Virginia, to pursue a science degree in Nursing. She attended Ridgeview High School, where she graduated c/o 2025 with her diploma. She was working at McDonald’s as a crew member up until she passed. She was surrounded by love, all the way until her very last day here on earth; she will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandma: Clyneta Jones; maternal grandfather: Reginald Bell; and aunt/ cousin: Terry Pugh.

Jah’Mia is survived by her mother: Shaina Bell- Sessoms (Danthony Sessoms); father: Jamel Belsches Sr.; siblings: Jamel Belsches Jr, Danthony Sessoms Jr, Jamaire Belsches, and Jaliyah Belsches; grandparents: Cynthia Bell, Ramel Belsches, and Jackie Belsches; aunts: Lashawn Bell, Shayla Donnell, and Latoya Anderson; uncles: Laron Caldwell, Corey Murray, Shameek Belsches, Kalief Belsches, and Kevon Belsches; and a host of other relatives and friends.
