Howard Rubin Reid

Howard Rubin Reid affectionately known as "Sweet Stride" was born December 18, 1959 to Sam R Reid and the late Maggie L. Reid in New York, NY. He has been a resident of Jacksonville Florida most of his life. Previous residence was in Greenville, S.C. for a number of years. He was a member of Redemption Outreach. Pastor Ron Carpenter Jr. He attended public schools in Jacksonville Florida including Ribault Middle and Jean Ribault Senior High School, where he graduated as a member of the class of 1978. Furthering his education, he graduated from South Carolina State University in 1982. While attending South Carolina State University he was a proud member of the Bulldogs football team. After graduating he worked in the securities and protection business, owning Alpha Protective Services for several years. His employment with various security companies took him all over the country working. Howard Rubin Reid departed this life Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Maggie L. Reid, and nephew Garry Anthony Albertie Jr. The footprints of his life shall be cherished by those he leaves behind, daughter Kayla Johnson, son Kyle Johnson, his father Sam R Reid, sisters Carmen Reid, Samantha Reid, brothers John Reid (Princess), Eddie Reid, and Michael Reid, nieces Armoni Albertie, Jayla Reid, nephew Eddie Rashad Reid, mother of his children Cristi Johnson and a host of sorrowing cousins, uncles, aunts, relatives, and friends
