Herman Cherry Obituary Mr. Herman Cherry was born on August 27, 1941 in Lewiston, North Carolina to Bertha Owens and Emmitt Cherry. He was employed by the State of Maryland for 20 years. He also served in the United States Army and was in the Vietnam War. He met and married his wife Melinda Cherry over 25 years ago. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will truly be missed. He is survived by his wife, Melinda Cherry; daughter, Budesser Jefferson; son, Kevin Robinson; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; step son, Stephen Blackshear; 8 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and sorrowing friends.
