Gregory Bruce Torrence, Sr

Gregory Bruce Torrence was the first born child to the union of Tommie Lee Torrence Sr. and Juanita Torrence. He was born on January 7, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida. Gregory graduated from Jean Ribault Senior High School c/o 1973 where he played football. During his young childhood years Gregory was given the nicknamed "Jim Brown" by peers for his quality skills and whereas he developed love for the game. After high school Gregory attended Bethune Cookman College and later became employed with the City of Jacksonville Water Department for over sixteen years. Gregory was his mother primary care giver for over 7 years until her passing in 2007. Gregory resided at Morris Manor, where he met and befriended many loving resident that was always quick to help and always concern about Gregory, and express such sadness after his passing. In his leisure time Gregory really enjoyed listening to music, watching sports of all kind. After having a wonderful time with his children and family over the holidays, he perished from us with his brother Tommie Jr. by his side. He was preceded in death by his loving father Tommie Lee Torrence Sr., mother Juanita Torrence and loving nephew Tommie Lee Torrence-Jenkins. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons Frederick R. Ward, Orlando, Florida, Gregory B. Torrence Jr. Sherrod Torrence, both of Lithonia, Ga, Daughter Shenell Torrence, Albany, Ga., Sisters: Beverly Udofia of Austell, Ga. Gail Torrence, Janise Campbell, both of Jacksonville, Florida brothers, Tommie Torrence Jr., Danny Torrence, both of Jacksonville, Florida. Nephews: Edwin Blue of Atlanta, Ga Stephen Jenkins, Orlando, Fl Travis Torrence,Ratifia, Ca, Maurice Torrence, Danny Torrence Jr and Jamar Torrence nieces, Lakeshia Campbell, Denise Davis, Syteria Torrence, Latasha Campbell of Jacksonville, Fl Many Loving Uncles, Aunts, host of cousins and many friends.
