Gerald Lamar Hizine Sr. was born October 22, 1984, to Eula Christine Hizine and Alexander James Silvers. He attended the Jacksonville Marine Institute, in Jacksonville, Florida. Gerald was a hard worker, during his adult years he became employed by Dominos Pizza, Quickstop, Coastal and M&E Masonry. One of the things that everyone loved about him is that he had an infectious smile every time that you were in his presence.
Gerald was an all- in type of guy, we would give him a hard time about his cigarettes, his joy was going to the park, playing with the kids. It was his delight 24/7 to be with sweetheart, his wife and son. He enjoyed eating Chinese food and playing spades.
On Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 4:46 pm our beloved gained his wings to be with his Lord and Savior. Although we mourn his passing and will miss him dearly, we stand in this hope as the bible comforts us “to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord”.
Gerald leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 20 years Shanelle Patrice Bryant Hizine, and his son, Gerald Lamar Hizine Jr.
He is proceeded in death by his dear Auntie Melba L. McClendon, His beloved Sisters- Shevela Holmes (Deavon Holmes), Marilyn Sanders (Joseph Sanders 4th), Brittany Jones and Precious McClain. His devoted Brothers- Lee Jones and Terry Rivers. As well as his mother and father-in-law, Ruth Johnson and Timothy Johnson and his sister-in-law, Shameeka Bryant.
Gerald had special brothers in which he shared his life with- his “special” brothers, Elbert Lee “Bubba” Ziegler, Cory Stucks, Julius Collins, and Cameron Collins. To remember his life and legacy are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many close friends.
