Gene Baumann- Golden Obituary Mother Gene Shirley Jones Baumann Golden was born February 8, 1941, to the late Floyd Jones Sr. and Bertha Lee Jones-Parker (David Parker) in South Hampton, Virginia. Mother Gene attended the South Hampton School systems. She also graduated from New Rochelle College with a B. A. Mother was a hard worker and devoted employee with the New York City School Board where she retired. Mother Gene would feed, cloth, and house anyone that had a need, whether she knew you or not. She was known as the community mom and caregiver. Mother Gene gave her life to the Lord at an early age. Mother Gene later moved to Florida where she became a member of The Breakthrough Center Church Formerly known as New Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Overseer Alexie R. Kelly. After moving to Jacksonville Florida, Mother Gene met the love of her life Bishop Walter Golden. They were united in holy matrimony August of 2012. Mother Gene Shirley Jones Baumann Golden was welcomed into her heavenly home on January 12, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband: Walter Golden; parents: Bertha Lee Jones-Parker, Floyd Jones Sr., and David Parker; Sons: Michael Broadus, and Kenneth Broadus; Brothers: Kirk (Lilly) Jones, and Floyd Jones; Sisters: Gwendolyn Duncan, Almeta Copland, and Daphlyn Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her Children: Roosevelt (Michelle) Broadus, Donna Crum, Kareem (Latisha) Baumann, Falisa Baumann, Shawn Baumann, Wanda Baumann, Malik Baumann, Sharoma Duncan, Emily Jones, Latrell Jones, Charles Jones, Jonathan Jones, Charvar Jones, Charnita Jones, Latrice Jones, Evangelist Carolyn (Earl) Golden-Waters, Minister Dwayne (Tracie) Golden; Brothers: Herbert (Virginia) Jones, Shelton (Angela) Jones; Sisters: Rose Randolph, Virginia White, Davette (Paul) Richards, Darla (Donna) Jones, Detrick (Noel) Luna, Donna (Lenord) Smith, Debra (Clarence) Bess; In-Laws: Pastor Joseph (Jessie) Golden, Bishop Johnnie (Sonia) Golden, Early (Angie) Golden, Charles (Lauren) Golden; Novella Hendrix, Gloria (Robert)Ross, Marie Jacobs, Marion (Jerry) White, Pastor Josephine Golden.
