Frankie Manning Obituary Mrs. Frankie Yvonne (Von) Manning was born on April 8, 1935 in Quitman, Georgia to the late Mrs. Gussie Mae Wooten Matthews and the late Mr. David Bell, Sr. Sister Manning was preceded in death by her husband, James Manning, Sr.; children, James Manning, Jr., Belinda Manning Mobley; one sister, Wanza Lee Spencer; and one brother, David J. Bell, Jr. Sister Manning was a member of Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Dixie, GA, where she served as a deaconess and served on other numerous auxiliaries. She was a faithful choir member who loved to sing every chance she could get. Her favorite song was "Your Grace and Mercy." She was an active and faithful member for over 70 years, until her health declined. Sister Manning leaves to cherish fond memories by those who loved her dearly: her children, Donnie Manning, Sr., Gussie O. (Leroy) Hunter, Bobby E. Manning, Sr., and 1 daughter-in-law, Beverly Manning. She also leaves to cherish in her memory 1 brother, Aldoph Bell, Sr. (Barbara); 2 sisters, Sonja Strange and Fannie Mae Harris; and grandchildren, Wendy (who was raised by Deacon and Mrs. Manning), Wanda, Kimala, Tracie, LaCrystal, Wilbert, Jr., Leroy, Jr., Dedrick, Sr., DJ Manning, Robin Denise, Bobby, Jr., Brandi, and JaNiece; 36 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, numerous special cousins, and friends Your browser does not support this video format.
