Flossie M. Dozier

Flossie Dozier Obituary Flossie Dozier, 88, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on June 18, 2024. She was born on June 28, 1935, in Lake Park, Georgia to the late Izell and Ella Gunsby. She attended the local schools of Lake Park. Mrs. Dozier was a devoted attendee of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed, where she found great solace and community throughout her life. Her faith played a significant role, guiding her through many of life's challenges and joys. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie Dozier; daughter: Annie Bradshaw; son: Willie Lee Dozier; brothers: Willie Coleman, Johnny R. Gunsby, and Early Gunsby; sisters: Izell Gunsby, Lilly Mae Gunsby, and Rutha Mae McClain. She was also preceded in death by her grandchildren: Vanessa Dozier and Kendalle Doctor; and daughter-in-law: April Dozier. She is survived by her daughters: Charlie Mae Dozier and Faye Tyson (Ronnie); son: Freeman J. Dozier; sister: Eloise McCloud; and a legacy of numerous grandchildren, including: Regina, Sharod (Kimberly), Tammie (James), Sabrina (Scott), Shafaye (Neil), Jermaine, Willie Jr., Garrett, Devon, Kimberly, Gwendolyn, Terrance, Cedric, Antionette, Kim (Kourtney), Sha'Kera, Jamal, Erica, Tamesha, and Kenneth. She was a proud great-grandmother to: Deja, Dermeka, Kashawn, Shanise, and many more, a total of 71 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Flossie Dozier will be remembered for her unwavering love, her nurturing spirit, and the profound impact she had on her family. Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
