Mr. Erving Johnson, Jr. was born on August 5, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia to Erving Johnson, Sr. and Elizabeth Johnson. He attended West Broad Elementary, Isaiah Blocker Jr. High and graduated from Old Stanton High School. He met and married Ella Mae Stokes. He was employed by Southern Development Company for 12 years of service. He was very well known in the Construction business. He left his mark on a lot of work and his training on a lot of the guys. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Priester; and 3 sons, Tony Johnson, Erving Johnson, III and Mike Johnson. He survived by his devoted wife, Ella Mae Johnson; sons, David Johnson, Willie (Rosalyn) Hall and Reginald Johnson; 12 grandkids; 26 great grandkids; 2 great great grandkids; brothers, Horace (Geraldine) Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Oliver Elmo of Savannah, Georgia and Johnny James Elmo; sister, Margaret Coleman, Evelyn Bowden and Patricia Elmo of Savannah, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Lizzie Mae (William) Johnson and Lessie Mae Stokes of Miami, Florida; loving nieces and nephews and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
