Elouise was a remarkable woman of faith and courage who left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted Christian whose greatest joy was serving the Lord and caring for her family. Her strength, kindness, and prayers were a guiding light to all who knew her. She was a beacon of wisdom, patience, and respect, always making the people around her feel welcomed and loved. Elouises warm smile and generous heart were only surpassed by her deep faith and devotion to her church and to God. She was a faithful member of Spoken Word Ministries , where she served in many roles over the years — from Sunday school teacher to prayer warrior and community volunteer. Her gentle spirit and warm smile reflected her deep love for Christ and her desire to live according to His Word.Dr. Elouise Renee Sledge Ellis was not only a mother to her children but a mother figure to many. She taught her family the importance of faith, forgiveness, and love. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart always welcoming.Elouise was a dedicated individual. Her strong work ethic and determination were evident in her academic achievements and professional life. She graduated from William M Raines High School, later earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, a Master's degree in Special and Inclusive Education from the University of North Florida, and a Doctorate in Theology from Word Bible College. Her love for education and her faith merged seamlessly in her life, enabling her to touch lives in a unique and profound way. Her devotion and commitment to serving others, her love for church, worship, Spoken word ministries, and her passion for shopping were just a few of the many facets of her life that left a lasting impression. Elouise was a devoted wife to her husband, Willis Ellis, and a loving mother to her children Regan Adams, Shiffon Champion-Holmes, Brandie Jackson, Aundra Harris, Antwan Ellis, and James Ellis. Her nurturing nature, inherent compassion, and deep care for her loved ones were a testament to her as a person. She was a proud grandparent to LaThario Miller Jr., Richard Kelly, Kennedy Adams, Za'Miyah Harris, Ayce Champion, DaMarte Harris, Jacob Jackson, Paris Champion, Brooklyn Champion and Isabella Harris, she always put her family first. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bettye and Charlie Sledge.Her life was a testament to her strength, perseverance, and mega faith. She was known for her honesty, loyalty, and the pride she took in all she did. Elouise Ellis will be remembered for her unconditional love, her kindness, and the precious memories she shared with her family and friends.
