Mr. Ellis K. Sirmans, Sr. was born on January 14, 1937 in Quitman, Georgia to Hadley Sirmans and Rachel Peeples. He attended Brooks County Schools in Quitman, Georgia. He met and married Lerleen Thompson. He was employed by Unisource for over 50 years of service. He was well known in his community for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Ann Stewart of Quitman, Georgia; two sisters, Rachel Jones and Dorothy Devoe and three brothers, Hadly, Wesley and Chester Sirmans. He is survived by his loving wife, Lerleen Sirmans; sons, Ellis, Jr. (Juanita) and Darren (Karen); granddaughters, Tracy, LaTonya and Latoya Stewart of Quitman, Georgia, Tonya Sirmans of McCray, Georgia, LaSheia Mooney of Nacogdoches, Texas and Erica and Gabrille Sirmans; grandsons, Terry Stewart of Valdosta, Georgia, Rockie Hadley (Kim) of Hahira, Georgia, Cedric Stewart of Quitman, Georgia, Triss Jones, Erik and Siradus Sirmans; sisters, Sarah Strickland and Mary Walker of Willingboro, New Jersey; brother, Nathaniel Sirmans (Mary) of Quitman, Georgia; aunts, Ruth Marble, Marget William of Thomasville, Georgia and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
