Elijah Jones, Jr. Obituary Elijah William Jones Jr, 73 Elijah was born October 12,1948 to the late Elijah William Jones Sr. and Verdell Tyson Jones in Jacksonville, FL. He was a graduate of the New Stanton Senior High School, Class of 1966 and attended Tennessee State University for three years prior to joining the US Navy in 1974. Through various jobs and ventures, Elijah would later earn his Doctorate in Christian Counseling from Truth Bible College and Seminary in early 2000. Elijah William Jones, Jr. passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah William Jones Sr. and Verdell Tyson Jones and siblings Alveria Verdell Chinn and Alvin Jones Sr. He leaves behind his daughter, Alveria Lovett (Andre Sr.), Grandchildren Hannah Rivers and Adrian Lovett, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends to carry on his memory. A Memorial Service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with details forthcoming.
