Elder Eligha Freeman Obituary Elder Eligha Freeman 94, of Atlantic Beach, FL a native of Swainsboro, GA, peacefully transitioned from this life on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, while under the care of Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL following an extended illness. The eldest of 14 children, Eligha was born on October 16, 1929, to his parents the late Charlie Rodgers Freeman and Gracie Lawrence Freeman. Eligha later moved to Atlantic Beach, FL in 1950 at an early age to marry the love of his life Mandy Mae Knight Freeman on March 7, 1951. To this Union, they were blessed with four children. Elder Freeman was a longtime member of New Community Missionary Baptist Church, Atlantic Beach, FL, under the leadership of Bishop Micheal D. Johnson. Eligha was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife and one son Eligha Freeman, Jr. Also preceded in death, by his siblings Harrison Freeman, Ella Mae Freeman Dillard, Lou Ann Freeman Pinkney, and Charlie Rodgers Freeman. He leaves to cherish his children, one loving son Charles E. Freeman Sr. of Goshen, Alabama. Two loving daughters caregiver Virginia AKA Rainey (Clinton) Terrell and Lennie G. Washington (James) both of Jacksonville, Florida. He leaves a host of siblings, brothers, Elder Rufus E. Freeman (Nora) Titusville, Florida. Bishop Willie Freeman (Wanda) Swainsboro, Georgia. Maybelle Wadley (Freddie), Mary Allen (Willie) and sisters in love Pearl Freeman all from Swainsboro, Georgia. Barbara Jean Freeman, Daytona Beach, FL. Brothers in loves, Bobby Knight from Jacksonville Beach, FL and James Knight from Atlanta, Georgia. Sister in Love, Linnie Knight Little from Jacksonville, Beach, FL. Seven grandchildren- Amanda Snow, Charles, Freeman II, James Washington, Jr., Jeremy Washington, Markus Terrell, Eligha Freeman and Jamaica Washington.
